FRANCIS MAWUENA DOTSE

Mr. Mawuena Dotse has over for over 20 years (1989 to date) been working at very senior levels as a development consultant. He has expertise in institutional/organisational development; human resource development and training; public policy; development research; monitoring and evaluation; project management and process facilitation. He has played lead roles in the development of policy documents and plans in Ghana’s decentralisation/local government sector as well as the water and sanitation sector.

Prior to joining MAPLE Consult, he was a senior lecturer/consultant at the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) (1983 – 1991); Project Coordinator of the UNDP/GWSC Rural Water and Sanitation Project (1991-1996) and Project Coordinator of the financed Rural Water Supply Programme (RWSP)/Accompanying Measures Eastern Region (AMER) (1996-2001) financed by the German Development Bank (KfW)

Nii Odai Laryea has over 20 years (1989 to date) been working at very senior levels as a development consultant. He has expertise in institutional/organisational development; human resource development and training; public policy; development research; monitoring and evaluation; project management and process facilitation. He has played lead roles in the development of policy documents and plans in Ghana’s decentralisation/local government sector as well as the water and sanitation sector.

Prior to joining MAPLE Consult, Nii Laryea worked as a Community Development Specialist with IGIP Consulting Engineers on the KfW financed Rural Water Supply Programme (RWSP)/Accompanying Measures Eastern Region (AMER) (1996-2001) and as Community Development and Health Education Specialist on the UNDP/GWSC Rural Water and Sanitation Project (1991-1996). Between 1986 and 1991, he was a Research Officer with the Water Resources Research Institute of the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR).

CHRISTOPHER SACKEYFIO
SNR. CONSULTANT

B.Sc. Development Planning; M.Sc. International Development

Mr. Christopher Sackeyfio has knowledge and expertise in decentralised development planning and service delivery, capacity development and training, public and foreign policy, development research and project management. He joined MAPLE Consult as an Associate Consultant in 2011 and has since played key roles in assignments such as Performance Assessment of Metropolitan Municipal and District Assemblies based on the Functional and Organisational Tool (FOAT) in two separate assignments in the Central region, (2011) and Volta/ Greater Accra regions (2012) of Ghana. He also participated in the assignment to provide Technical Assistance to Engage Beneficiary Metropolitan and Municipal Assemblies on Public Private Partnerships’ under the Ghana Netherlands WASH Project. Currently, he provides intermittent support as a Resident Programme Manager on the Dutch government funded Local Government Capacity Programme (LGCP) being implemented in Ghana by VNG International and MAPLE Consult.

Prior to joining MAPLE Consult, Mr. Christopher Sackeyfio was a Project Officer with Youth and Women Foundation (2009-2011), a local non-governmental organization where he participated in the implementation of pro-poor projects which included a three (3) year Slum Communities Achieving Livable Environments with Urban Partners (SCALE-UP) Programme with funding from CHF International and Social Inclusion Transfer (SIT) project in the Awutu Senya District with financial support from the Social Investment Fund.

Gertrude Asokwah Amissah
Consultant

B.Sc. Development Planning; M.Sc. International Development (Conflict, Security & Dev’t)

Ms. Gertrude Amissah Asokwah is a development planner with interest and expertise in local governance and decentralisation, water sanitation and hygiene, environmental sanitation and management, urban poverty, vulnerability, gender, disability and social inclusion. Gertrude joined MAPLE Consult in 2016 and has since been involved in key assignments such as Improving Data Harmonisation within the Ghana WASH Sector (2018-2020), Tax Revenue for Economic Enhancement (2017-date), Setting-up and strengthening of Waste Management Departments in the Greater Accra Metropolitan Area (2017-2018), WASH Sector Equity Analysis for Ghana (2016-2017), Local Government Capacity Programme on Sanitation (2016-2017). Currently, she is part of a team of experts undertaking a UNICEF-funded Study on Equitable Water Supply Services in Low-Income, High Population Density Urban and Peri-Urban Areas.

Prior to joining MAPLE Consult, she worked as a Teaching and Research Assistant at the Department of Planning, KNUST where she was actively involved in plan implementation and management workshops for final year Development Planning students as well as conducting research.

Daniel Yaw Karikari
Consultant

Diploma in Community Development; Diploma in Social Administration

Mr. Karkari has a good background in community mobilization and development. He was the Community Development/Extension official on the UNDP/GWSC Rural Water and Sanitation Project implemented in the Birim North and Birim South Districts of Eastern Region between 1991 and 1996. He played a similar role on the KfW funded Accompanying Measures Eastern Region (AMER) and Rural Water Supply Programme (RWSP) Phase I implemented in the Offinso District of the Ashanti Region (November, 1996-June, 2001) as a Community Development Supervisor.

He was the Community Development Assistant on the RWSP Phase III in the Eastern Region (2002-2006). He is currently a Community Development Supervisor on RWSP IV being implemented in over 15 districts of the Ashanti Region (2006-date).

Florence Ansu-Amponsah
Office Manager

Master of Arts in Management & Administration
BSc. Human Resource Management

Mrs. Ansu-Amponsah has since 2001 been a secretary at MAPLE Consult and has risen through the ranks to become the Office Manager since 2010. She is responsible for all administrative issues at MAPLE Consult and carries out proofreading, editing and final printing of all documents from the firm. She has a knack for detailed reading and excellent presentation of reading material. She is conversant with all the Microsoft Office software programmes as well as several other graphic/design related software programmes. She also manages the finances of the company.
