At the request of VNG International, The Netherlands, our company had the privilege of hosting
a 25-member delegation from Ethiopia as part of the Ethiopia Social Accountability Programme
Phase 3 (ESAP3), funded by the World Bank. The delegation, comprising officials from
Ethiopia’s Ministry of Finance, Regional Bureau of Finance, social accountability experts, and
World Bank representatives, embarked on a five-day study visit to Accra.
During the visit, the delegation engaged with key Ghanaian institutions to explore the country’s
best practices in local governance, decentralization, and civic engagement. The initiative offered
the Ethiopian team valuable insights to support the ongoing efforts in enhancing social
accountability and governance systems in Ethiopia.
