The Tax Revenue for Economic Enhancement project was implemented in partnership with VNG International of The Netherlands from 2017-2022.   The project focused on improving property rates, business operating permits and general revenue mobilization in 33 Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies in the Ashanti, Central, Western North and Western Regions of Ghana. Key interventions included capacity building for assembly staff, digitization of property roll data, introduction of a digital platform (TaxMan software) for revenue mobilization and coaching on social accountability. These efforts helped improve local revenue generation and service delivery, contributing to more transparent and accountable governance at the sub-national level.
